In-Class Work 7: Project Build Status and Risk

We do this live in class. Small breakout rooms. This is the second check on your project, same format as In-Class Work 6. By now you should have part of your project built or running.

Each person gets about eight minutes:

  1. Show your project as it is today, in about two minutes. Hold it up to the camera, share your screen, show the code, show the test data. Something concrete, not a description
  2. Say what is blocking you: a part that has not arrived, a step that is not working, something you do not know how to do
  3. The group gives one specific suggestion for the blocker
  4. The group answers: can this project finish before presentations? If not, agree on what to cut

Each of you submits the group’s answer. Type it into the Moodle submission box:

Grading. Everyone in the group gets the same score. If you do not submit, you get no credit for that session. Grading and the AI policy are in the syllabus. Specific to this one: step 4 is the point. An honest “this will not finish, cut this part” is worth more than a polite “looks good.”
